History Behind Sheneghee's Circle
We used to live in Maryland and were involved with a wonderful Pagan networking group named the Mystic District. In planning for their Celebration of Community 1999 (a yearly camping trip that they host for any and all who wish to come), I, along with a few other parents, planned some children's activities since I wanted my son to have something to do there. After this, through talking to some other parents at the CoC and through email, I proposed to start a Pagan Kids' Club so that the children of the Pagan Community could meet others from similiar backgrounds and know they weren't the only ones out there with these strange parents! Well, the PKC went over very well for the few I was able to host before we had to move and is still going strong with a new Coordinator at the helm.I missed being able to have these things for my son (each one was like its own little party) and want to do this type of thing again. However, this time, I wanted to start a little less vague since each PKC event ended up costing quite a bit on my end, which I didn't mind...but my checking account did, so I figured a story-telling circle would be a perfect way to continue what was to me a wonderful, valuable resource for my son.
